I am thinking of getting a new hair style and color. My friends and family disagree. But I just want a change and have a new look I can call my own,because I have never done anything to my hair. I am a bit afraid of the change. Any tips or suggestions.
That is a beautiful hair color. I would consider keeping that and maybe slowly altering your hairstyle. Try something bold after a long time so you and your family can adjust. I dont have any direct suggestions just to go slowly.

I would recommend not going too short at first, since you might regret it afterwards, not because it looks bad, but just because it was so dramatic. If you're thinking about changing the colour, as, baby steps. Have the hair dress recommend a complimentary colour for a highlight.
I think you should keep your hair. It sounds beautiful. If you do change it you should dye it light brown. natural redheads always look good with light brown.

My hair is auburn with natural curls. It was difficult to manage, so after a lot of consideration I had it cut short and undercut. I have tried every haircut imaginable since then and finally found one that I can have fun with. If you want a change try a cut that is shoulder length first to get a feel for it. Don't be afraid to try something new. The best advice I can give is find a stylist who also has culry hair. They'll be more understnading.
I would not do anything extreme, maybe go with a few highlights of the color that you want to try. See how that works first. You can always add more down the road if you really like it, but aren't committed if you don't. Once you take color out or use bleach, it really damages your hair. I have a daughter with that beautiful brown aburn color and I have really struggled to let her touch it because so many people really think she has beautiful hair. Heck people in Hollywood try to mimic the color so I'm like why would you want to change it. We have come to a compromise in adding a few highlights first, the other thing that is very common right now is to dye or add color to the bottom level for a two toned look. That way you still have some of your natural and a different look. Just no matter what if you go extreme you will be in for a shock, go slow. Good Luck!

I'd say stick with your natural color. It probably goes best with your skin tone, etc. If you go to a good hair stylist she/he could probably pick a cut that would work best for you. Nothing wrong with expiramenting there, it will grow back.
You should keep your curls not only because it is sexier and 'in' to have waves but it's always easier to straighten than to curl/perm. Check out hair magazines,choose a cut that flatters your face shape, and body type.Decide if you have time to manage and style your hair, if you want something versatile or creative. Since summer is coming, try a shorter do. Do what you want but take suggestions into consideration.

i would get the kind of hair color that comes out in about a week, and then get your hair straightened. you might like it, and if you dont, then there is nothing to worry about because it will come out with a wash.
Why don't you start off slow with some high lights or low lights?? Instead of jumping into full color...it'll make it easier to make the full decision and won't be such a dramatic change all at once. As for the new hairstyle...jump right into that as long as you know what you want. Hair always grows back but hair color can damage your hair if not done right...and once you color it, it can be hard to change back to your natural color if you decide you don't like it.

Use Pantene Full and thick, or Sheer volume. Both work wonderfully on making your hair fuller and healthier, as well as more beautiful.
There is supposedly a shampoo to make your hair grow faster....it won't do that but my friend is using it to make her hair thicker. Stay away from layers because it thins out your hair...so if you want style have framing and bangs done. To make it grow...trim it regularily. 1/2 inch every two months is the best idea...it only grows about 3 inches...but it's three healthy inches.

for this stlye, make sure you're hair is washed. greasy hair or dirty hair does not curl nicely at all. use a medium sized curling iron, and curl all of you're hair; leaving your bangs straight (if you have bangs.) if not you can clip up the front of you're hair leaving a little poof on the top. it would look cute. :)

I deal with my very long hair by using a mild shampoo and a good conditioner to make brushing it easier and to keep the split ends down. I also wear it up or braided most of the time. and, yes, if I ever do decide to cut it, (which I probably will never do), I will donate it to Locks of Love.
They usually just let me play with it and I wash it for them and then I dry it and then I comb/brush it for them. If you haven't noticed there are those of us that like women's hair enough to not quite call it a fetish and not enough to ignore. My hair is like 13 inches! It most certainly gets on my last nerves cuz when I comb it I can't reach that low and my mom has no time to comb my hair! I want to have a haircut but my mom says she wants my hair down to the floor~? i always take a shower before bed, then I blow dry it barley, and then put it in a bun, so that in the morning, it isn't ratty.
My hair used to have some wave, which would straighten out as it got longer. After chemo, it came back super curly. I throw some Frizz-Ease in it %26amp; forget it - don't blow dry it %26amp; very occasionally straighten it. In the summer I put in up in a pony tail or braid it to get it off my neck. I put it in a french twist for a dressier look. For me it's not a big deal to take care of long hair - just a little more time consuming.
yr going overboard with looking after yr hair. mine is long but i wash it daily and condition. brush it when wet and leave it to dry i dont use hair dryers as i think this causes dryness and damages the hair. when completely dry i brush it once again. trim regularly to avoid split ends.
My hair's at least 24 inches now. It's very hard to take care of. I'm a brunette and my hair is thick. I haven't had it cut in over a year (don't worry, I definitely plan on sending what's cut to Locks Of Love.) I'm obsessed with keeping it in as best condition as possible. I have at least 30 different shampoos with matching conditioners and styling products. I have almost every brand sold in regular stores, as well as few expensive lines of professional/salon-sold products. My hair's naturally curly, and I prefer my hair straight, so everyday I blowdry my hair and straighten it. If I want it curly I just let it air dry, but that takes a few hours! It's such a hastle, but I love my hair long. One thing I've learned is to give up on the split ends. The only way to get rid of them is to cut them off. Hair is basically just dead skin (this is also why I stopped worrying about the damage my blowdryer does), so there's nothing you can do about it. You can't repair them, you can only temporarily mend them. Frizz-Ease works great for that, though. The hair serum works awesome, it's one of my favorite products. And then the Frizz-Ease Secret Weapon finishing creme.

Since when is 10 inches "really long"? I would call that medium. Mine's about 30 inches. I wash it every four days with baking soda and lime juice, and use a conditioner without "cones." I don't do many of the other things on the list, except for micro-trims to take care of splits, and finger-combing. I keep my hair in a braid nearly 24/7. It's pretty easy to manage.

My hair is almost to my waist. It's wavy, but dry and frizzy. I use Garnier Sleek %26amp; Shine shampoo and conditioner, which really helps moisturize my hair. Supposedly it makes it up to 5 times stronger too, but I have never tested this. I air dry my hair -- if I blow dry it it gets really poofy. If I plan on going out, I apply the Sleek %26amp; Shine Anti-Frizz Serum through my wet hair then let it dry. Once a week I use the Sleek %26amp; Shine Fortifying Deep Conditioner. Every two weeks I use a clarifying shampoo to clarify my hair of the build-up a serum might create. Every night I braid my hair, to prevent tangles I might otherwise get from tossing and turning.
I have never relaxed, permed, or straightened my hair, because all of these cause damage and potential hair breakage. I have been very tempted to dye my hair, but always decided against it because of the damage it would do to my hair. I use a boar bristle brush I bought at Target. Boar bristles don't damage your hair like plastic or metal combs because they are hair, and hair can't damage hair. If I have any knots, I comb through them with my fingers. I trim my hair only a few times a year to get rid of split ends. It is a myth that the more often you cut your hair, the faster it will grow. Trimming is the only way to get rid of split ends, but you can buy a styling product that temporarily seals them. I believe Garnier has a Long %26amp; Strong serum for this.
Natural shampoos and conditioners usually don't have 'cones, which can weigh down your hair. They are also more gentle on your hair if they don't have sulfates. I wish I could afford them, but they are at least $6 a bottle. You can get them at a natural food store or Longs drug store.
Taking care of long hair does sometimes seem a hassle. Several times I have thought of cutting it, but I never did. I guess having long hair is just me. And for some reason guys seem to like long hair, but that isn't what motivates me. If I ever do decide to cut my hair, I would send it to Locks of Love. I think that's a very worthy cause.

I have shorter side sweapt bangs (eyebrown length) and longer hair (past shoulders). i too have a round face and have worn my hair both short and long. i have always found that a shorter chin length cut makes my face look more round, so if you're worried about this, I'd suggest keeping your long har but have some layers cut in. this should help with the managability of your hair. express your concerns to your hairstylist.
ok you want youre hair to frame youre face so get it lightened (perhaps carmel highlights) that will also make you look less pale. then get it layered and above the shoulder. good luck, i think it will look good!
usually shorter hair on some one full figured will make them like they gained 10 pounds. My cousin did it and she regretted cutting her hair short. She looked like she gained like 15 lbs.
I have a round face also... My hair was past my shoulders all my life, until about 2 years ago... I cut it to above my shoulders... I have gotten SO many compliments on it and haven't let it get past my shoulders since then.
I wouldn't go as short as to the chin just yet... I'd recommend about an inch above your shoulders... and since it's thick, tell them to "texturize" it at the bottom :)

for this stlye, make sure you're hair is washed. greasy hair or dirty hair does not curl nicely at all. use a medium sized curling iron, and curl all of you're hair; leaving your bangs straight (if you have bangs.) if not you can clip up the front of you're hair leaving a little poof on the top. it would look cute. :)

So pretty much I went to a salon to get my hair cut and styled. The lady cut off the length first then went in with a razer and thinned it.. and then blow dried it and straightend it then cut it again with thinning shears.. now my hair is WAY too thin for my likings... How long will it take for the thickness / bulk to return.?

I would say about a month. But if you sweat alot it will grow in faster. I know that's sound wired but. If you don't wash your hair for a while it will grow. Hair can grow under dirt for some reason.

Thining your hair is removing it. By cutting layers into it, you have to wait for the hair to grow back. Sorry, but the resonse of a couple of days was wrong. Hair is dead once it leaves the scalp, so it will won't regenerate from the bottom.
first of all it horriably to get your hair thinned if its super think i did it and i have a huge puff on top of my head but it should be back to normal within a week or two ...but when it comes back its gonna come back twice as thick.
It will take as long as it normally takes your hair to grow

Hi! okay so today I decided to get a drastic hair cut. Not usually my thing, I've had the same haircut for 2-3 years, and past ones have been similar. I had black, thick hair that went 4-5 inches past my shoulder. Then today I got my hair layered so there is like 1/5 of my usual thickness and also bangs that just hit the eyes and are soft not blunt. I was hoping for longer bangs but w/e it'll grow. well, usually with layers you cant wear it up very much (depending on how long it is) i would say try some tyling gel to give it volume...or just down...you could straighten it for a more punk look or curl (spiral) the top layers for a cutsy casual look...or curl the ends in or out...(round faces curling in may not do to much for you so i would curl out..)

I have a daughter with that beautiful brown aburn color and I have really struggled to let her touch it because so many people really think she has beautiful hair. Heck people in Hollywood try to mimic the color so I'm like why would you want to change it. We have come to a compromise in adding a few highlights first, the other thing that is very common right now is to dye or add color to the bottom level for a two toned look. That way you still have some of your natural and a different look. Just no matter what if you go extreme you will be in for a shock, go slow. Good Luck!

I'd say stick with your natural color. It probably goes best with your skin tone, etc. If you go to a good hair stylist she/he could probably pick a cut that would work best for you. Nothing wrong with expiramenting there, it will grow back.

Check out hair magazines,choose a cut that flatters your face shape, and body type.Decide if you have time to manage and style your hair, if you want something versatile or creative. Why don't you start off slow with some high lights or low lights?? Instead of jumping into full color...it'll make it easier to make the full decision and won't be such a dramatic change all at once. As for the new hairstyle...jump right into that as long as you know what you want. Hair always grows back but hair color can damage your hair if not done right...and once you color it, it can be hard to change back to your natural color if you decide you don't like it.

BACK-COMB (aka tease) your hair and the poof will last, but you have to comb sleek hair over the poof to look professional. Then hairspray (any kind as long as it doesn't contain alcohol).

I copied this from some old questions I answered.
Retro: Wear a headband at where your bangs "begin" if you have them, or near your forehead if you don't have bangs. Back comb your hair (brush all of your hair backward so you will see no part.) Spray this with hairspray so it stays in place. Curl the ends of your hair.
Loose waves: Curl your hair with a 1"-2" curling iron. Start so that the ends of your hair are sticking out; don't start at the tip. Spray your waves with hairspray so they don't go flat.
"Scrunchy" hair:
About 3 minutes
Take a nickel size amount of gel and spread it on your hands. Scrunch your hair to get a messy, cool look.
Chunky hair:
About 2 minutes
Spread a very small amount of pomade onto your fingers. Pull pieces of hair outward for a simple but cute look.
Updo
About 1 minute
Pull on your hair like you are going to put it in a ponytail. Hold with your right hand. Grab your "ponytail" with your left hand and twist it to the left. Clip up with a giant barette.

okay. so have you seen Fantastic Four? that one girl (cant remember her name right now) sorta put her bangs up, but just her bangs and short hairs when it was layered. i think that would look pretty. dont use a hairtie, that would probably make people laugh. but use those clippy things. you know you can snap it. also, you maybe can get layers!! those are so fun to help design your hair. you can get them leading from your bangs and going down. they will probably look gorgeous. :]
and you can curl your hair.

you should grow out your hair and give it a little curl on the ends.
Your current one makes your ears look big and long hair would make them look smaller.

have it cut shoulder length with layers (THIN LAYERS) this way it doesnt look thinner. and it will look absolutely gorgeous with a frame around the face and side swept bangs.

okay so, i know it looks REALLY bad right now,
like all damaged and stuff.
and it has some really weird colours in it.
i'm going to dye it back normal, (with maybe some low lights? what shades of brown do you think would look cute?) and grow it out longer (unless my parents let me get extensions again) so my layers don't look so trashy-metal-scene.
