i have long hair too and my school is really strict about what you can and cant do. Most websites dont help because they just show outrageous models with hairstyles that really don't suit for school. you would probably have more options iff you cut your hair but if you don't want to do that, half up half down looks really cute. curl the part thats tied up and add a cute little bow or clip etc.

Straighten it, put it in a messy bun (so easy!), half-up half down, scrunch it...there are endless possiblities. Also get highlights and a haircut. Acessorize with funky bobby pins, hairbands, haircolor, etc.

well you could start out by getting a hair cut and get it to about maybe a little under the shoulders and then get bangs(not the straight across ones) but the swoopy ones.. and then get really choppy(noticable) layers... it will be such a big change and everyone will love it... and for now I would wear it down. or not just a regular pony tail but like maybe a side loose ponytail... just change it up a bit... like maybe rhalf up in a clip and the rest down..... maybe even curl it with a curling iron.... you should work with what you have now until you have time to get it cut.
