Ok, so I've got long hair, roughly the same as that in my avatar.. nose length in the front to about chin length around the sides.. about five inches. Usually its over my face but I'm looking to get it off my face tonight for a party. I've tried a mohawk which looks pretty cool, but I dunno what to do with the sides to finish off this look.. has any one got any ideas, and how to make them work?

The 2 above mentioned bedhead products are awesome, I have mid back length hair and if I put enough of that gel and set it with a bit of the spray - I think it would hold all day. The Maxxed Out Hairspray has the stiffest firmest hold I've ever found. You will def. need some kind of shampoo to get all that stuff out though cuz its really alot of product to put in your hair.
As far as the sides, with the gel just slick them straight on up - you can proably get them to stick to your head and if not, you can slick them back and around and ancor them with a bobypin... hope this helps!

i'm sorry, but i cant really picture this. so you have a mohawk on top but hair down the side? i have no idea what you can do with the rest of it, is it long enough to go in a ponytail? whatever you do will look cool and unique with a mohawk though.

Why not use gel and wear it slicked back ? I have seen a lot of this lately , looks good

I guess if you felt brave you could shave the sides - I think some people with mohawks have that look. Or maybe you could use that Shock Waves stuff then spike the whole thing up and out!!

Why only spike your hair mohawk style? Just make it stick up all over...and then spray it with spray on hair color--color by section or spike...
