I am thinking of getting a new hair style and color. My friends and family disagree. But I just want a change and have a new look I can call my own,because I have never done anything to my hair. I am a bit afraid of the change. Any tips or suggestions.

That is a beautiful hair color. I would consider keeping that and maybe slowly altering your hairstyle. Try something bold after a long time so you and your family can adjust. I dont have any direct suggestions just to go slowly.

I would recommend not going too short at first, since you might regret it afterwards, not because it looks bad, but just because it was so dramatic. If you're thinking about changing the colour, as, baby steps. Have the hair dress recommend a complimentary colour for a highlight.

I think you should keep your hair. It sounds beautiful. If you do change it you should dye it light brown. natural redheads always look good with light brown.

remember after dying your hair once (unless you get the wash-out dye) you have to continue or else your roots will grow out and it will look awkward :)

Start with a cut, and worry about color later. Color costs money and time to maintain - if you can't make it back to the salon you end up with a skunk do.
Ask the stylist for advice. I did, and was SOOOO pleased. I had 19 inches of hair cut off. They gave me layers and angled it around my face. They know what will work with your hair type and face shape.

i think you should go for it if you want the change it would be you anyway your natual color would have to come back and by then maybe u will want it back but it is your body u can do what you want with it.

My hair is auburn with natural curls. It was difficult to manage, so after a lot of consideration I had it cut short and undercut. I have tried every haircut imaginable since then and finally found one that I can have fun with. If you want a change try a cut that is shoulder length first to get a feel for it. Don't be afraid to try something new. The best advice I can give is find a stylist who also has culry hair. They'll be more understnading.

I would not do anything extreme, maybe go with a few highlights of the color that you want to try. See how that works first. You can always add more down the road if you really like it, but aren't committed if you don't. Once you take color out or use bleach, it really damages your hair. I have a daughter with that beautiful brown aburn color and I have really struggled to let her touch it because so many people really think she has beautiful hair. Heck people in Hollywood try to mimic the color so I'm like why would you want to change it. We have come to a compromise in adding a few highlights first, the other thing that is very common right now is to dye or add color to the bottom level for a two toned look. That way you still have some of your natural and a different look. Just no matter what if you go extreme you will be in for a shock, go slow. Good Luck!

i would perfer geting it curled or cut or straitened you dont have to change the color just to get a new look .

I'd say stick with your natural color. It probably goes best with your skin tone, etc. If you go to a good hair stylist she/he could probably pick a cut that would work best for you. Nothing wrong with expiramenting there, it will grow back.

You should keep your curls not only because it is sexier and 'in' to have waves but it's always easier to straighten than to curl/perm. Check out hair magazines,choose a cut that flatters your face shape, and body type.Decide if you have time to manage and style your hair, if you want something versatile or creative. Since summer is coming, try a shorter do. Do what you want but take suggestions into consideration.

i would get the kind of hair color that comes out in about a week, and then get your hair straightened. you might like it, and if you dont, then there is nothing to worry about because it will come out with a wash.

Why don't you start off slow with some high lights or low lights?? Instead of jumping into full color...it'll make it easier to make the full decision and won't be such a dramatic change all at once. As for the new hairstyle...jump right into that as long as you know what you want. Hair always grows back but hair color can damage your hair if not done right...and once you color it, it can be hard to change back to your natural color if you decide you don't like it.
